Customer Story
VGTV, part of Schibsted, expanded its digital media production by building a modern podcast production environment using RadioMan.
The organization operates multiple online and linear television channels delivering news and entertainment content to large audiences across Norway. To support podcast production, VGTV selected RadioMan for flexible workflows and fast deployment.
The first production studio was operational within weeks.
Production Environment
VGTV selected a Lawo IP audio environment together with RadioMan® to support podcast production workflows.
The infrastructure includes multiple audio studios with microphone and AES67/Ravenna audio interfaces, while audio mixing and routing are managed through Lawo audio cores and VisTool control interfaces.
RadioMan Planning and On-Air interfaces operate through browser-based workflows connected to AWS-hosted backend services. This enables flexible production operations while maintaining centralized media management.
The RadioMan® backend handles business logic, media management, playout control, audio routing, and streaming workflows through Media Nodes deployed either in the cloud or on-premises virtual environments.
Why RadioMan?
RadioMan® allows VGTV teams to produce and manage podcast content through browser-based workflows connected to AWS cloud infrastructure.
Users can prepare playlists, manage recordings, and operate podcast production remotely using standard web browsers and PC-based production environments.
Multi-channel recording supports microphones, external feeds, and remote audio contribution through WebRTC, RTP, and SRT connectivity.
After production, audio content can be edited, finalized, and transferred directly into the company’s digital publishing environment or stored within the RadioMan® media asset management system together with associated metadata.
The environment enables both local and remote production workflows, while lightweight remote studio configurations support flexible contribution from virtually any location.
