Connecting Radio Stations together via Cloud
Cloud is not just a place where you store data or place your IT servers. The Cloud can be a flexible part of your radio station business. RadioMan radio automation is actually a radio broadcasting platform in the cloud. In addition to the services back-end, the playout units can also be placed in the cloud environment. Live programmes can then be easily shared between multiple radio channels.
With the real cloud-based Radio Station Platform you can run your shows and control your stations anywhere. All you need is a web browser and audio interface like a headset or a USB-mixer. You can also contribute to your radio shows live from your workstation. In case you want to have more sophisticated studios you can utilize and interconnect high-end broadcast studios with IP-audio facilities.
Radio stations can be interconnected to each other via streaming and remote control. RadioMan Media Nodes in the cloud support directly RTP and SRT streams for programme distribution and station interconnections. Contribution from a reporter can be done transparently with WebRTC and a browser interface.
Different operation models
Cloud based radio station platform allows different operation modes. All the radio stations can be totally independent or they can share live programming with each other. Regional stations can have their own localized shows, advertisements or programmes between the central feed slots. Cloud architecture allows studios to be placed anywhere and multiple contributors in different locations at the same time. The programme feed from the station media node can be routed via internal codec to a transmitter site with a parallel stream going to a web/CDN.
